I received a lovey e-mail yesterday from Flight Centre informing me of amazing specials to the Far East. Considering that I was actually considering a trip this year (seasoned Far East traveller), I actually considered some of the "HOT" deals. Quite a bit of considering. Considering the cost of travel. We all want to save a buck or two. Most of these deals however contained an age restriction (18-35?). Flight Centre is obviously all about up-sell and fine print. Nothing more. No agent could actually tell me what the reasoning behind this was (And please don't give me a feeble excuse about "island activities"- been there, done that. I guess everybody over 40 should be put down by a state veterinarian according to Flight Centre because you are not fit for travel? (please indulge me in achieving "multiple sarcasms" at age 40)- I think I am entitled to this after your quite obvious and blatant discrimination against age. You ought to be reported to the Consumer protection council. Its just bad business practise. I will be going on holiday this year at age 40 sans Flight Centre. Unbeatable? Absolutely. READ THE FINE PRINT PEOPLE AND BEWARE! It's all a little ridiculous.
