Blatant Consumer Entrapment

After 14 years of owning Timeshare with Star Vacation Club and Flexiclub i found myself Retrenched in November 2011.Unable to get another job i started training myself to become a Financial Adviser and as such work purely on commission. I was unable to pay the levy required at the end of 2012 which was R10 000. I was truly hoping that my business would have picked up sufficiently to be able to pay, but alas it did not. So i was hoping that by Mid 2013 i would be able to pay, but that is still not the case. I have now been called by the Legal dept to inform me that they want to attach my assets so as to get their R12000 owed to them. The Timeshare according to them is worth over R100 000, but yet i cannot find a buyer in sight. They refuse to sell it because it has outstanding fees. They refuse to cancel the contract because it has outstanding fees. I am told that if i do not pay the outstanding fees buy end Sept, then i will be liable for the 2014 fees as well. This is an absolute joke. I am battling to put food on the table, yet they are happy to keep charging me for something they know i cannot afford and cannot use. This is tantamount to Consumer Entrapment.
