I booked a ticket via the Vitality Website on the 16th April for a flight from OR Tambo to Cape Town the Monday evening as late as possible. I will be attending a R17 000 3 day seminar at Sandton City. The course only ends at 9 the Monday evening.
I booked the flight way in advance in order to get the lowest rates. The last cheap flight was for 19:25 so potentially only sacrificing 2 hours of the course. I would have taken the Gautrain from Sandton City. Perfect plan!
Then the 3rd June I receive an SMS from Kulula that by flight was cancelled and my booking was moved to 17:15. I phoned the call centre and was told they can't help me. After complaining they had a plan B. I can fly from Lanseria but it is my problem to get there! Then the callcentre phoned me back and offered to refund the ticket.
I have at previous occation flown BA although I booked a Kulula Ticket. There is BA flights later but Kulula refuses to move me. I know that I'm stuck with a ticket (no cnange or cancel) if I bought it. Why can they do as the like?? Client service is non existant. What a disgrace!!! I've asked Discovery Vitality to assist - refer my complaint with Discovery Flight JPAIBP
