We made a booking from Polokwane to Pretoria for my mom, which is a pensioner, and my sisters child, which is 11 years old, to visit me on 23/03/2013. We paid R 926.00 for the 2 tickets.

The night of 21/03/2013 my brother which is in a wheel chair felt very ill, my mom rushed him to hospital, where the doctor instructed her to rush him to Pretoria. The morning of 22/03/2013 we tried to cancel the booking, but the office in polokwane just said, they can cancel it, she can use it in 3 months time. She had to make alternative arrangements for someone and pay them to bring them to Pretoria with a vehicle, because my brother can't sit in the bus for that long, and he is in pain.

Now they want to use the tickets for the check up at the hospital in Pretoria, and we understand that Translux is on strike.

I don't feel that this is fair, in the first place, it was a situation out of her hands, we tried to cancel the booking more than 24 hours before departure time, and they just refuse. Now again she must make alternative arrangements to come to Pretoria, because the buses is on strike
