I dropped my phone to repair a broken screen, I was called after 3 wks for collection, I went straightaway to pick the phone up. On checking the phone I realized that all existing applications&data has been wiped off&a new software installed. I lost all documents, purchased applications&their associated history&data, files (pictures, music, documents, etc), contact list&communication log. The cashier had no clue of why my data is missing, she called the technician who then informed that I lost my data as a result of a software upgrade. I told him that I asked for a screen repair, his response was that a screen replacement needs a software upgrade which automatically results in data loss. He further stressed that Nashua doesn't do data backup, referred me to item 7 of the conditions. I explained to him that I would not have known that a screen change would result in software reload&data loss, that someone should have at least be courteous, give me a call before wiping off my data. I can back up my data if I got informed of the intended software upgrade. I have been Nashua mobile's customer for over ten years paying between R7000 and R10, 000 monthly. All I needed was for him to take responsibility.
