How long should i wait for a new contract???

I applied for a new contract with MTN on Mon morning and was told that it should take 3 days to process my application. When I heard nothing back by Thurs I sent a mail to query my application (after no one answered the phone at the branch.). Apparently the system was down (for 4 days!!!) and my application was still pending (could no one call me to at least let me know this???), but that I'll get feedback on Fri morning. Finally on Fri (after I mailed again) was i told that i needed to complete another form in order to finalise the process (All the forms were completed along with documentation on Mon already) and then more waiting for approval???
I am truly disappointed as no one called to explain or even apologise for keping me waiting so long.
