Crossed Lines for 2 weeks!

During the weekend of 5th April we "lost" our telephone and ADSL service on a 913- number. Whilst we can dial out we cannot receive our calls - it just rings and goes to the standard answering machine. During the next week we kept receiving calls for a gentleman who had requested his old number back when he returned from UK on an 896- number. When we reported the problem I was told the account was overdue but then when the operator verified the number I was told that this account was for an 896 number. We then started to receive calls for another lady and her callers were all reporting the fault as well. On Sunday 14th a technician arrived at 15:30 and rectified the matter - I must say the technician was very pleasant. On 15th we received 896- calls again. Very rude female faults operator informed me I should go and borrow a phone from a neighbour because my phone was faulty followed by the "you will be charged for the callout! " We still do not have our line or ADSL. What does it take? Are there no technicians or no lines in Boksburg? Seriously considering alternative service providers... All parties involved have families overseas and unable to receive calls. Enough is enough...
