I have an issue with Vodacom regarding DATA usage. Vodacom is the one provider that will ALWAYS grab the opportunity to charge customer out of bundle data rates. The SMS notifying one that they are now charged out of bundle rates is ALWAYS a good 24 hours late. At the time the phone bill is already in the thousands! Other suppliers like 8.ta, would rather freeze the entire connection instead of jumping into out of bundle rates. Also bear in mind that their (8TA) out of bundle rates are MUCH cheaper than Vodacom's. Every time when I check my bundle balance there would be at least 500MB left. And then as soon as I connect it all goes within minutes. Sad thing is I will only come to notice this a day later when I eventually receive the SMS notification. I think this is UNETHICAL because are many means available to Vodacom to protect the customer against ending up with exorbitant bills unintentionally. They are not using these because this is a CASH COW for them. I have been with Vodacom for the last 13 years and my account is ALWAYS in good standing but now I am skeptical about the future relationship with them. I am DISGUSTED!
