I received an extremely large bill in January for data usage. I queried this with Vodacom as I knew that I had not used my 3g device. (I have an ADSL connection and had not travelled). I received a response with a detailed list of what data had been used on my device each day. The list included the IMEI number that was in use. I queried this with them as the last three digits differed from the IMEI # of the device in my possession. The response was that the last 3 digits are check digits. After a quick google search on IMEI format I discovered that only the last digit is a check digit. Vodacom are adamant that these charges are for my device, but I know that the device was not used. It appears that this device on the report was not mine. Where do I go from here?
