Billing for not service rendered

I was introduced to the Telkom Internet that was to be tried for free in 3 months in December 2011 but when their technician arrived to connect we realise that it would not work with my machine which is a note book without the DC ROM and I was told to send it back to any of the Telkom outlet and I send it to Maponya Mall and was told to keep the device for any time when Ihave the right machine I would phone them and the deal was canceeld before the three months propossed. Later I was told that I am owing Telkom for telephone service which I do not have.
