I subscribed to Vodacom's track-an-athlete service for Sunday's Ironman event. They charge R15 for subscription to this service. I received one SMS as confirmation of my subscription, and another SMS welcoming me to the event in the morning. After that, I did not receive a single SMS. As a cellular service provider, I would have hoped that you would be able to deliver on a service that sends out SMS messages. Out of four people that subscribed to the service for this athlete, only one person received any messages. That's a success rate of about 25%. If you charge people to provide a service, you should deliver on your promise - it causes a lot of worrying etc when you receive no messages about your athlete's progress.
