4 months ago I started a 2-year contract with Cell C that includes the iPhone 4S and 200 minutes 500MB 200 sms.By default the out-of-contract spendings are 0 unless the user asks for a limit increase, which I did after 2 months considering I travel a lot and need roaming.
Immediately after increasing the limit to R1, 200 I started getting the bill increased by this exact same amount, supposedly for internet usage. After getting the first incorrect bill, I logged several queries with Cell C to know more about this, as on 2 first months my monthly 500MB allowance was enough to get me through the month.
Analyzing the statement in detail, I see that I'm being charged crazy amounts (above R500) for single internet uses, which Cell C cannot explain (how much data? doing what?). I have automatic updates turned off, use wifi all the time and travel almost half of the month, so this internet usage is just not real. In fact, I have in my statement internet usage in periods when I was travelling out of the country, without roaming activated.
I'm trying now to cancel my contract with Cell C as this is injustifiable. The worse is not having a proper answer nor even the least bit of care...
