Based on what the very knowledgeable and helpful people on call centre told us, we cancelled a Vodacom account. Then tried - as per advice - taking new account with same number. Oops, sorry you can't! Phone is now on prepay, and must be on this for 6 MONTHS BEFORE new contract. Call people say you can reverse the cancellation and upgrade, except call centre sales says you can't! New contract, new telephone number!
So please notice everybody, read the T&C that changes all the time VERY CAREFULLY, as you might spend hours and hours on the phones holding on... and on... and on for different people and different maybes... and very little knowledge!
