Billing me for expired contract

I had a cellphone contract with virgin mobile that was coming to an end in August 2012, they called me before august and told me that the contract was coming to an end at the end of August 2012, and they ask me if i was interested in another renewing my contract i told them that i was not interested, then they called again some where in September 2012 they told me that i must pay until December 2012 so i asked them how can i pay until December 2012 because the contract ends at the end of August and i am not interested in getting another phone fro Virgin Mobile so that is when i was confused, I really need help before they blacklist me for something that i do not know.
