I have been a valuable customer for over 15 years, and switched to contract about 3 years ago.
My account has never been over around R1500 a month. Last month my bill came to over R4000, and Vodacom subsequently locked my account. I have contacted the call center over 10 times to try and resolve the matter, but I keep getting transferred to different departments. This is not the service I expected from a cell phone Giant like Vodacom.
It is impossible that I have used up this huge amount of data, when I have unlimited wi-fi wherever I go. Why when I purchased my contracts was I never informed to set a limit? Why does it have to reach such a high amount before one is notified? This is unacceptable.
My phones are now still currently locked and I keep getting sms's saying that even my April balance has been reached (even though its been only five days), until I pay the giants the ridiculous amount that I know is wrong.
Vodacom, something is wrong with your systems and I refuse to pay this amount as I did not use R4000 worth of talk-time or data, and it seems like my April account is accumulating even though my phone is locked. This is totally unacceptable!!! MTN here I come!
