When something sounds to good too be true, it usually is. 8ta offerings are really good on paper but that is where it ends. I decided to port from a prepaid vodacom contract to an 8ta offering on an iPhone 5 (32gb smart contract 3). It should have been a simple process, port my vodacom number across to the 8ta contract. Unfortunately the staff at the four ways store this up. My number was ported as a prepaid. Which means I should have received x2 sims which was not the case. All I wanted was to have one number as my life is connected to that number, friends, family banking etc. I have been struggling for over a month to have this rectified with no joy. I have spoken to the manager of the credit getting dept. at 8ta, and had no official feedback. I called again yesterday and was told they would phone me back to let me know what was happening. I'm still waiting! The other thing is they sold me a contract knowing that I didn't have a sufficient network in my area. So I sit with a rather expensive tool, that is fairly useless. Does anyone really care, or is it a case of we have you now so shut up and accept it. I really want this issue sorted out, NOW! So frustrated!
