HOW DO I REGISTER MY TELEMETRY DEVICE

I have been trying to register my MTN cellular number on the MTN website and have encountered the following problem:

The MTN sim card that I use is located in a gate opener on my Game Ranch, which is 400 km away.
After completing the necessary questions on the website to register the number, the system then sends a one time password to the sim card. I cannot retrieve this one time password as the distance involved between myself and the card is 400km. The registration process requires an alternate number to be filled in, but the OTP is not sent to this number, so I do not know why it should be necessary to provide an alternate number.

The Vodacom website includes a field where one can inform the system that the sim card is in fact use in another device and not a cellular phone, so when they forward a one time password, it arrives at the alternate number that I would supply on registration.

Lindiwe, at the call centre, advised me that MTN does not have this functionality.

I need to recharge the sim card from time to time, but cannot do this without having to travel the 400km, remove the simcard, insert it in a cellphone and do the necessary.

Please help MTN!!!
