I went to get my telkom issued modem tested. I spent 45 minutes on the telkom call centre line and was instructed that all I needed to take into the store was the modem, no cables required.
Arrived there today and was instructed that nothing can be done without the power cable. It frustrates me as the call centre and stores send mixed messages. My biggest frustration was the attitude of the gentlemen that served me, we'll did not serve me! He was rude, interrupted me constantly and was extremely unhelpful, not even willing to try and serve and fix the issue.
What happened to service in this country? And especially at Telkom!
