This morning I called Afrihost once again as our internet AGAIN went off. This time I was told my modem / router is faulty and I will have to buy a new one. After talking to some friends they told me Telkom has an offer on modems so I called Telkom to find out. While talking to the guy at Telkom, he offered to check my lines for me again and informed me that there is absolutely nothing wrong with my modem but the network in the whole area is down and he lodged a fault report for me. If it was not for the guy at Telkom I would have gone and spent - R1000 on a new modem because Afrihost decided my modem is faulty.

This is not the first time either. A few weeks ago Afrihost told me the problem with our incredibly slow internet is at the Telkom side. I called Telkom, lodged a fault, the technician came out the following Monday, tested the lines, modem, etc and guaranteed me the fault is NOT on the telkom side but on the Afrihost side. I now have to pay Telkom R400 for unnecessary call out! I honestly cannot afford this.

PLEASE Afrihost, make sure your guys know what they are talking about. They are costing me a lot of money and I am sure I am not the only one.
