POOR MTN SERVICE ON GALAXY S3

I upgraded and got my new Samsung Galaxy s3. From day one i had problems with reception. Received messages like "the number you are connecting to is not registered on the network". After many visits to MTN shops i eventually got a new samsung galaxy s3 BUT... The receiption is still poor to no reception. My wife is also a MTN customer and she always has reception. I am fed up with not being able to make calls or being reached. My house is in the North of Pretoria and my office in Sandton. I have the same issues everywhere. I receive work calls as well and this is creating a lot of issues for me, my family and work.
I don't know what to do because wherever i go am am being told that there is nothing wrong with my phone or the reception but yet i am not able to use my phone.
