Non-existent 3G signal in Willow Acres Estate

For the last two years I have been complaining to Vodacom about the poor 3G signal in Willow Acres Estate, near Silver lakes in Pretoria. If you look on the coverage map on their website, there is a huge hole over our estate. Many other people in the area have similar problems. They have continuously fobbed me off by telling me that they have installed an additional tower in the area, so the signal should now be working. My wife, an estate agent, had a Blackberry Torch which dropped every call, so that she had to redial the client every time. We realised that it was because there is no 3G signal in the area, so the phone doesn't work without 3G signal. We bought her a Curve which does not have 3G capability and that worked better than the Torch. Recently, because they now assured us the signal was sorted out, we upgraded my wife's Blackberry package and received a new Bold 9790. Of course we are now back to square one and she will have to use the Curve again, as the Bold is 3G enabled and drops the calls all the time. I have similar problems with my iPhone as well. If you live in the Silver Lakes area, whatever you do, don't use Vodacom. Rather go to Cell C or MTN. I wish I had!
