I signed up for the iPhone 5 contract in January 2013, at the Cell C in Long Beach mall. I was advised that there was a waiting list of -18 phones, which I was happy to wait for. I signed the forms and was told I would be kept informed. It's now been 2 months, and I have been to the store itself twice, with no luck. The most recent time I was told the store was robbed of all its stock, and that they are waiting for insurance to pay out. Surely this should not affect us, the customer? I would like to know what is going on, I understand there is high demand for the phone, yet competitors have them on hand? I have been with Cell C for around 10 years without issues, and do not particularly want to change, but I may have to. At this rate by the time I receive the phone, an updated one will be out.
