I was extremely unimpressed when I took out a new contract tablet. I submitted my things and sent it along to them. I received my tablet eventually, and then I got to the end of the month and got my statement (as far as I understood, I was only supposed to get it the following month). At any rate, I was prepared to pay it until I saw that I had R419.90 due for the new account. This was unbelievable, and I spoke to my brother to help me out. I refused to pay until I got an updated statement, and was told that this contract had issues with other people, too. So I waited. I then got a message telling me that I should submit the payment asap. I then got a message saying legal action would be taken against me if not paid, and just now I received a letter of demand (after I paid the remainder WITHOUT an accurate account). What irritates me is that I look like I am skipping on payments, when I have been with MTN for four years on contracts, and I have never once paid late EVER. This was one thing that needed sorting, not ONE phone call to talk, nothing. Account was due 13/03/2013, there was an issue, and I am issued a legal letter 14 days after the fact as if I never pay.
