Account paid in full & receiving letter of demand

Good day
I am so disgranttled with Maravedi Credit Solutions. I have contacted Maravedi Credit Solutions on the 7th June 2012 and requested a settlement quote and paid the amount in full the very same day. They provided me with their Banking details and was asked to write my ID number as reference. I did as i was told. The account was paid in full and requested a paid up letter after few weeks. I have struggled to get a paid up letter from those people. I got a call in December 2012 that my account was in arrears and was shocked because i have paid the account in full and got a paid up letter from Maravedi as well. I had to forward Maravedi the paid up letter that was send to me. I was told that my account has been updated. To my surprise i got a Letter of Demand from the Maravedi Credit Solutions that i must settle the account to avoid legal action taken against me;expensive legal fees and my name reported to Credit Bureaux. The letter was written by Sudhir Singh - Collections Manager on the 1 February 2013.Please assist me by solving this nightmare, i thought i am done with Maravedi but it does not look like it. Very disgranttled customer.
