Why a calander month?

Now Mweb due to the Seacom outage I am once again losing business. Your billing department made me understand that you guys are covered in your contract if you cant provide me with a stable service I must still wait till the end of April, regardless weather my business is suffering or not. All I want is to cancel my contract at the end of this month and to move to a different isp that does not use Seacom.
