I signed up for a Mygig 1 contract at Vodashop Tygervalley in April last year. The consultant, Denise, assured me that i will never pay more than the advertised R99 pm and it will cut off when i reach the limit.
I received my first statement and was billed over R640 for data usage.
I contacted Denise, who said that it must've been a mistake and she will take care of it, never heard back from her, left several messages.
I went to the customer care at Canal Walk, spoke to a consultant who assured me that they will sort the matter out in the next week.
I explained that I cannot pay R640 as it's not in my budget and I will reverse it for the time being till the dispute is settled.
I was told in a sarcastic way that I can "do whatever I like".
I then spoke to the customer care line who said my contract must've been loaded incorrectly, hence the incorrect billing.
I phoned again, was told that my account had been closed and they will phone me to make arrangements, heard nothing.
I have now been contacted by a debt collections agency demanding R2500 from me and have apparently been listed with ITC.
I am beyond frustrated and do not know what to do next, please help?!!!
