I was leaving for overseas on a work contract. As my cell contract with MTN was about to expire, I filled in the form to stop the contract and was told verbally that my prepaid would then be re-instated.
On the 2nd February 2013, I had no service on my cell. I emailed MTN help centre, and have been doing so since. I have had a friend in South Africa call MTN and she is getting no help. I have phoned MTN from New Zealand 3 times and still get no help. I have sent about 40 emails and still get no help. I have threatened to go to the ombudsman and still have no help.
I had over R500 airtime and 200 SMS's and MTN took the whole lot. They even had the audacity to charge me for the contract at the end of February. They did however pay some of that money back into my bank.
I don't know what else to do. I need my phone as my bank is linked to my cell number.
