Hi

My husband has a business and he wasn't happy with the Internet speed he had on his line. He called telkom and was told that there was a 10MG speed which would suit him better. He was told that they would run a test to see if the exchange supported the faster speed. An SMS was sent to him saying that the test had been successful.

He chose the 10MG option and on Wednesday (13 March 2013), both their landline and Internet stopped working. He called telkom on Thursday and was told that a technician would be sent out. He called again on Thursday afternoon. On Friday he called 3 times and even received a call from telkom asking him to rate their services on the calls he made.

Today he called telkom again and was told that a technician had been assigned to the matter, but had not showed up, so they would assign another technician. My husband was concerned that they wouldn't deal with the matter as it was a weekend and he was assured that they work during the weekend.

It's now been a few days and this issue has Not only been a source of inconvenience for their business, but it's affected their business as well.
