I have been unable to make calls for almost a week now. I can't even call the service center so it is difficult to sort it out.
Ever since Saturday 9/03/13 I have been unable to make any outgoing calls. On Sunday I phoned the service center from another MTN phone. They said nothing is wrong and put me through to technical, whom also stated that nothing is wrong and I should visit an MTN store. Been to MTN shop in Jacaranda center. The guy there messed with my phones settings and told me the phone is broken. I went home and inserted my wife's sim card and I was able to make calls. Went to MTN in Menlyn and was told my account was in arrears and I paid what she said plus a penalty. Was told it should work by next day. Next day phoned call center again and was told my account was never in arrears. I checked my bank statement and the debit order went through. It is now Thursday and still no service. It is frustrating not to be able to make calls. Also I am basically paying for a service not supplied. I would like this sorted out and I would like to be refunded pro-rata for the time I was not supplied with service. I asked the first MTN shop I visited for a sim swap and was refused.
