I went to Cell C Fourways mall where Shantae assisted me in applying for an add on line to my existing corporate account. 2 weeks later I received my new phone and sim card on the 15th August. The sim card for my vodacom prepaid account went dead and I inserted my CellC sim card. From the minute I inserted the CellC sim card I could not make any outgoing calls. I could receive calls and sms's and data, but no calls could be made.
I called Shantae from Cell C Fourways and she said I must wait till Monday the 26th August.
After waiting till the 26th, nothing was better and I phoned the call center. reference SD137489 SD137462 3082100175. I was told to type #330*1234# to cancel the barr on the device. This did nothing. Eventually they said I should do a sim swap, which I did, to no avail. I then said that if the problem is not fixed I will have to cancel my contract as I cannot run a business without my most important sales tool.
I was told to wait 7 working days from them to escalate the problem or pay R764.82 to cancel the contract immediately. I was forced into paying the R764.82 to buy the contract out as I cannot be without a phone that cannot make calls. This is not fair!
