ON 20/09/2012 A GENTLEMAN CALLED KURT CONTACTED MY PARENTS AND ON THEIR LANDLINE, TELLING THEM OF A SERVICE THAT WOULD GIVE THEM, AMONGST OTHER THINGS, 12 MTH FREE CALLS TO A TELKOM NUMBER. MY PARENTS QUERIED THIS & WERE ASSURED IT WAS ON A LANDLINE NUMBER. THEY OPTED TO TAKE THE PACKAGE, CHOOSING TEL NO 0119008007 AS THEIR 12MTHS FREE NUMBER.
SUBSEQUENT TO THIS, INVOICES FROM TELKOM HAVE SHOWN CHARGES AGAINST THIS NUMBER. IN DEC 2012 THE PROBLEM WAS EXPLAINED TO A LADY IN COMPLAINTS DEPT. SHE HAD A DIOFF STORY TO KURT, HOWEVER MY PARENTS DISPUTED THIS AS THEY HAD SPECIFICALLY CONFIRMED WITH KURT THAT IT WAS INDEED A LANDLINE NO THAT QUALIFIED. SHE SAID SHE WOULD COME BACK TO THEM - NO CALL BACK WAS EVER RECEIVED.
ON 9/01/2013 A FAX DETAILING ABOVE WAS SENT TO LINDA BARNARD AT 041 407 9017. STILL NO REPLY. AGAIN ON 5/02/2013 A FAX WAS SENT TO SAME LADY, ASKING THAT SHE LISTEN TO THE RECORDING OF THE TEL CALL FROM KURT, ADN REQUESTING THAT MY PARENTS ALSO BE ALLOWED TO LISTEN TO IT AGAIN. STILL NO RESPONSE FROM ANYBODY!!! MY PARENTS ARE STILL RECEIVING CHARGES ON CALLS MADE TO THIS NUMBER!!
THE LEVEL OF SERVICE/NON-SERVICE RECEIVED FROM TELKOM IS ABSOLUTELY APPALLING!!!
