I opened a adsl uncapped 1Meg line with telkom in Nov 2012. It was explained to me that it would cost me R497pm. Taking into consideration that the payment and billing has been a complete nightmare and i feel like Telkoms billing is from the stone age. Ive had to spend 1hour on my cellphone to call them today regarding outstandings again and to be told i owe them R2800. i want to know why when i upgraded my account which took nearly a month and a half to do that they have charged a penalty of R1400 for upgrading my account. Who charges someone R1400 penalty to upgrade an account and next they dont bother to disclose that information to you as a consumer. Clearly Telkom hasnt read the Consumer Rights act. Ive lodged a dispute with Shane Khuduga reference number is 26839749 and i wish to have this penalty removed immediately.
