I took my blackberry into the Northgate Shopping Centre Cell C shop on the 17th February 2013 to have it repaired. It wouldn't charge properly and I had to wrap the charger cord around the cell phone in order for it to charge. The sales consultant confirmed that it was the charger pin that was bent and that they can send it in for repairs. I received a phone call from the Northgate Shopping Centre branch on the 8th March to tell me that my phone was with them, however it cannot be repaired because it has water damage??? I know for a fact that my cellphone was never near water, the phone was still operational when I handed it over! How do I know that the technical department didn't spill something on the phone and now its my tough luck, its my word against theirs. So now I have a phone that doesn't work and cannot be repaired and a contract that i am still paying for!!! Why couldn't the service department call me to tell me this as soon as they got the phone? Why wait until the 8th March (15 WORKING DAYS LATER) and send the phone back to the branch and have the branch call me? Surely the minute the service department sees water damage the client should be contacted?
