I have a cell phone contract with MTN, (direct not with a service provider) I webnt onto their website and saw that they had a branch listed in Fordsburg. I was close to that branch and upgraded to the new Blackberry Z10. The camera is faulty and needs to be replaced. I went to the Rivonia branch (as I work nearby) I was helped by Lipho who told me he cannot send the phone in for repairs without the box. I returned the next day with the box, waited for 40 minutes to be helped. Once I was helped by Nathi, he informed me that I needed the tax invoice, something Lipho had omitted to tell me. I told them I expected them to send my phone in and have it replaced to which I was told that the Fordsburg branch was a franchise and that they would not be able to replace my phone. The so called manager Kennedy was an absolute waste of time. And was inefficient as Lipho. Why do they list Fordsburg as a branch of MTN and then when there are problems call it a franchise. They are quick to debit your account monthly for the bill but do not offer a service to their clients.
Very dissapointed, lets see if they respond to this complaint.
