In 2008 I applied for a neotel line; I never heard anything back from them regarding my application form.
Approximately a year later in 2009, I started receiving bills for a service I never even received. I followed up and apparently a line had been assigned to someone else with my details.
Neotel finally decided to send me a neotel device. Would you have guessed that the internet connection was absolutely shocking. Unusable. I cancelled the contract and even paid the cancellation fees.
In 2010 a debt collector email came my way (Macrobert Attourneys) stating that I was facing legal action for non payment to the amount of R3700!!! strike three and I could not believe my eyes. At the time I was buying a house and did not want to risk getting blacklisted, grit my teeth and paid the amount knowing how shocking neotel accounts were. In hindsight this was a huge mistake but all I wanted was to be finally rid of the worst mistake I made, to sign up with Neotel.
Strike 4 : Now I'm receiving current accounts for outstanding amounts!!!
If this does not get rectified at the soonest I will take a day off work and got personally to the neotel office in woodmead.
