After Telkom closed our ADSL account on 15/2/2013 without any reason, I reported the issue, it was escalated (escalation ref no ARS222482) but still NO reply. Last night, 7/3/2013, after working on our telkom e-mail the whole day, my e-mail password was not valid all of a sudden...
I called 10210 this morning and, low and behold, I was informed that our e-mail account has been deactivated!!! Although the account was activated immediately by the call centre agent, Zandiswa Tywaleni, she could not tell me why the account was deactivated (Call ref 551964424). It could only be queried via an e-mail.
WARNING - even though one pays a of a lot of money to Telkom every month and you trust that they ensure their process are working, they randomly close and deactivate accounts causing LOTS of inconvenience to their clients. BEST OF ALL - Our mailbox has been cleaned out for the 2nd time in a month's time.
WHEN WILL SOUTH AFRICANS GET RID OF THIS (ONLY) TELECOM PROVIDER THAT WILL BE ABLE TO OFFER US THE SERVICES WE REQUIRE???!!!
