A consultant called selling my mother a certain model of a phone, and mislead her saying she will also get a second one for free. She agreed over the phone and gave them her details. The phone was delivered, my little brother was at home then (he must have been 10/11 years then because it was 2008). He opened the pack, my mother got home, found out that the phone was not the phone promised, an worse, there was no second free phone. We called Virgin mobile, they promised to get back to me as they were to go back and check their recorded calls. They came back to me saying they apologise for the misleading information as they appreciate the fact that it is wrong to about the free phone which is does not exist to get clients and they blamed the consultant who called and also said they realise that the telephone line was not so clear and the model that my Mother heard they were selling to her was simply a misunderstanding due to a poor line communication. I asked them to go back and collect the phone as it wasnt the one my mother agreed to etc. They sent someone and the person came back to them with the reason that the box was opened already by my 11 year old brother.
