Like a lot of South Africans I make a living by running a small business from home. I find myself paralised on a weekly basis by my Telkom landline being dead. The repair path is a confusion of SMSs and normally takes about a week to resolve during which time my clients think I am not answering my office phone. The resolution normally does not last longer than a week or two before the whole process starts all over again. The technicians (when they do come out) always assures me that the previous technician did not know what he was doing, but that the problem is NOW DEFINITELY resolved. In addition to this, my internet connectivity is so bad that I am unable to utilise Skype for a conversation. I am totally exasperated!!
