Double debit on Insurance

After close examination of our monthly phonebill from MTN we noticed that an amount of aproximately R 151.00 is being added as insurance on our account for 2 handsets. In addition to that we are paying R 350.00 as a separate debit order each month to 24HR mobility, also a handset insurance for 2 Blackberry phones.(which we currently have and use). After many phone calls to MTN customer service and MTN insurance department we were told that the insurance we are paying at MTN is for our 2 old Nokia phones we owned prior to our last upgrade in December 2011.Now the problem is this: When we upgraded our phones it was done at a MTN store (Midlands Mall Pietermaritzburg) and we were offerred insurance for the handsets, which we understood as insurance from MTN, in the past 10 years we upgraded about 5 times, each time our insurance was updated to the new handset!!! This time their admin was not on par and we ended up paying R 150.00 plus per month since December 2011. ( approx R 2100.00) for nothing.)
They are all very willing to cancel the insurance, but no one wants to take resposibility for the insurance blooper, or even offer to refund the monies paid.
