On the 7th January 2013 I had contacted Cell C about the poor reception in my area; I highlighted the fact that the coverage map indicated that I had excellent data coverage and that in fact, even call quality was bad in my area.
Lungile Ntuli responded and gave me this reference number: TT 1737500. An agent had investigated the matter and subsequently incoming call quality improved in that I could hear the other person more clearly. However, they could not hear me even if I had made the call. This is true for Cell C or other networks calling in. Therefore overall call quality did not improve but seemed to become worse. Data connectivity did not improve at all and remains completely unusable.
I reported these observations on the 21 Feb but I have received no feedback as yet. According to ICASA I have the "Right to quality service: High Quality, reliable service: You have a right to high quality, reliable service."
This complaint must either be handled by Cell C or I will log a formal complaint to ICASA.
