Billed for an account that is cancelled

I had a debit going out my account today from Vodacom for 5000. I am no longer with Vodacom and cancelled and ported over to 8ta in early February. My contract was paid by debit order monthly for about R400 for my BB and no amount was outstanding. Now I am debited out of the blue for??? This is actually illegal, as Vodacom does not have an existing contract with me.
I have tried the contact centre, but am put on hold indefinetly, nobody answers. The service is terrible!!!

I even sent a mail to the contact centre, and the reply was that my details could not be validated. If that is true, why I am being charged an exhorbitant amount for no service being received??
