I have a contract with MTN and I happened to have changed my banking details, my contract was suppose to end August, FNB tried to contact them to swap the banking details and they refused. I contacted their customer care and was told they cannot pick up my account number. I use the number that is on my monthly statement. On the 26 of February I then received a call that my account was handed to the lawyers MTN is saying that I am owing them R5297.86. My question is that how can they hand me to the lawyers where as no body attempted to contact me and find out what could be the challenge as they are not getting money from my account. If someone had contacted me I could have given them my new banking details. if they can check my record I have never skipped a month not paying the account the time I was using Nedbank. When I spoke to some agent yesterday I was told that my alternative number does not work and that is a as I am still working at the same place. When they called me for the contract they called me on the number 0721299462 and the number has been working ever since. I really need assistance.
