Contract cancellation and billing

I called the call center and spoke to a consultant by the name of Silindile refrence number 180908005000445030, I asked her when exactly my contract was ending and what do I need to do if I do not want to continue/renew the contract. She assured me that the number will just be switched to a prepaid number and that they (8ta) will no longer debit my account. I was surprised to see the amount for the subscription was debited at at end of January.
I called in again in January and spoke to another consultant who told me that the information I was given previously was wrong. she said I will be charged for the amount of minutes that I had already used for the month. I told her that i do not agree with that as i had phoned in advance before the end of the contract. She sent me an email with a case number Case : 4021121 and it states their turnaround time is 72hours.
I then got an email From a Dumisani Tshabalala from their billing department who i had to get up to speed regarding my case. Tuesday, February 26, 2013 1:08 PM He said he would get back to me as soon as he gets a reply from his superiors.
72 hours has passed and i have gotten no feedback. WHAT IS GOING ON!
