For the past two years, since returning to South Africa, I have been trying to change my phone number and account into my name (from that of my parents).
I've visited Vodacom Branches 10 times and I have had to phone multiple people: Accounts, Credit, Sales Consultants, Heads of Customer etc. I've presented the same Documentation 6 times to different people to get the Account changed into my name (Bank Account, Proof of physical address, Affidavit from Father, Mother's ID, My ID, etc.) and each time the documents have been destroyed, because no-one at Vodacom bothered to call to inform me that my Application was rejected. I even took on a Truworths account and purchased a car to prove that I had a Credit History so that I could be approved by Vodacom, but each time the Credit Department refused.
I have spoken to a Head of Customer and was referred to the Vodacom go-to-guy Ilyas (0828319298), who redid the application for me, but couldn't even remember who I was a month later and then referred me to accounts.
I've had enough. I want my account closed without Financial Penalty and a formal letter of apology, as this is completely unacceptable.
