Some time ago I took out a contract and later gave it over to my mother in-law. We had no issues, One day I receive a call from vodacom stating the account is in arrears by 3 months, I contacted my mother in law and quickly put her into communication with Vodacom. She made arrangements to pay off the account and close it, which she adhered to. Due to some error they did not pick up the payments and immediately without contacting us gave me over to their legal department or some or another unknown outsourced legal Company, who wanted use to pay the money into their account. We eventualy got hold of Vodacom and sorted the issue out I was promised that this will not cause me ANY problems on my credit record as I was afraid of this happening, and so I trusted Vodacom and was a happy customer. The account was paid up and closed, with relevant proof. Now almost 2 years later I found that vodacom loaded a MASSIVE negative onto my credit record NEVER was I consulted with OR received a notice, a letter or a phone call stating this action will be put on my name. Now I am trying to sort this out with them and I am not getting any assistance. Ref: EC-ZH73-2EOII1 or 006T~TK8N.
