On Saturday 26 Jan I went into MTN in Stoneridge to enquire about the iPhone5 that htye have been advertising incessantly. Of course they had no stock but they took my name and said they were expecting stock in the coming week and would call me. On Wednesday 30 Jan I got a call saying they had only been able to get a white phone. I asked how long it would be before they had black and was told it would be the next week. I said I would wait. Since then I have heard nothing from them. Eventually on 20 Feb I called them only to be told they still had no stock and that they should be getting sometime this week. Although I had already given my name and number they couldn't find it, so I gave it again. Why does MTN always do this? They never have stock of the phones they advertise and putting your name down with them is pointless - I am sure they throw it away as soon as you walk out. 8ta is advertising the same phone and it is cheaper so it looks like it is time to port my number!
