I have been with MTN for over 18 years already. I had a debit order on my account. Did an upgrade last year (2012) in February. After 6 months my account went into arrears because the proper amount was not taken off from my account. Who is to blame? Me? Spoke to credit controller and he said that I must pay off the arrear amount in 3 months time. Up to today, my phone is suspended twice every month. When I do make a payment, I have to e-mail or fax my proof of payment 110 times before the lines are put on again. I used to think that MTN was the best, but clearly it is not so. Maybe a move to a service provider who delivers will the best. I am reporting it to the newspapers and other media. When I need to make urgent calls, I cannot do that. With the job I have, I have to attend school functions which goes on until late, I have to ride alone at night and anything can happen. I need a service provider whom I can depend on.
