Terrible service/no stock???

I signed a contract for an Alcatel one touch Tab with wifi router at the Canal walk branch on the 8th of Feb. As I have a contract with Vodacom the (very moody and unhelpful) consultant said it was approved but they have no stock, so I need to wait. She was unable to tell me how long it would take. Bearing in mind this deal was in a new book so I don't understand why they had no stock. I then followed up with a phone call on 14th Feb and told that stock will definitely be in store on Friday (15th) and the consultant will contact me. heard nothing. On the 19th I called again and was told that my name was not on the waiting list - which forces me to wait longer, and that they have no idea when stock will be in, they think it should be in on the 20th. They then put my name on the waiting list (I hope). It is now 2 weeks later and they still have no stock. You would think that they would order straight away if someone was interested in their product??
