I have been trying to query why MTN will not honour their upgrade policy. I have spoken to two call centre agents and requested they get a supervisor to call me back, but still not news from them...
The Facts:
I have a contract that was signed on 19 March 2011 - 24 months.
MTN's upgrade policy states (copy and paste from their website)
"1. All customers who are in month 5 of a 6 month contract, 11 of a 12 month contract, 16 of an 18 month contract and 21 of their 24 month contract will be eligible for an upgrade evaluation. "
"8. If the customer is upgraded prior to the end of their current 6, 12, 18 or 24-month contract, the previous contract ends on the date of upgrade..."
Reading this, I would expect that I am eligible for an upgrade... But no - according to MTN, I am only in month 20 of my contract because of an early upgrade I did in 2007. So normally a subscriber can upgrade every 21 months, but me, I can only upgrade every 24 months...
NICE WAY TO TREAT A CUSTOMER OF 15 YEARS...
