I got a new Telkom line with ADSL on 22 January. I plugged the phone unit on 26 January and i noticed that the line was faulty. It would take 5 seconds and then cut off. I called Telkom and they promised on the call centre that since its within 2 weeks of purchase they wont charge call out. 3 weeks later I get a bill with a charge for the call out. The phone continues being faulty and then the service goes entirely, no ADSL and no landline. I logged a second fault on 8 February and then they closed it without coming to fix the problem.
On 11 February logged another one and I was told there is an area problem, 4 days later I get information that the area problem has been fixed and a technician will be dispatached. Its 21 February now, no internet and no landline but I have a bill of R840 for January to 13 March.
I have two fault number and everyday i am given new escallation number which are not helping me. I have rand my cellphone bill everyday holding on the call centre with no luck. Fault 942CNK130213 and escallation 494581.
I then dialed the telkom line cancellation call centre and no one picked up for over 10 minutes.
